“How lucky I am...

to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."      ~ A.A Milne

I love this quote. It's the perfect combination of optimism and heartbreak, Winne the Pooh style.

I know it's been a while since i've blogged, but I'll give you a little sneak peak of what I've been up to the last 2 months. And also a preview to where we're headed!

Aug 1, we'll be moving back to the Houston, TX area! We're very happy to be back near friends and family; surrounded by Tex Mex and grocery baggers :)  What an amazing 2.5 years this has been. Quite the adventure on so many levels.

* and since many of you reading this are curious as to the fate of "Chubbyfoot", I'll just go ahead and say that I probably will be taking some appointments in the fall, but likely not until October. I need to make sure and get the family settled, organized and in our new routines before I start booking up all my weekends. I hope you understand and I just appreciate that so many of you have kept in touch while i've been overseas.

When I do resume the regularly scheduled blogging program, here's what I plan to share with you!
Our April trip to the Amalfi coast with family from Louisiana...

and a FANTASTIC side trip to Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius...
Belgian adventures are always nice. We took my sister-in-law to the Orval Abbey/brewery.
And to the Grand Bigard castle when the tulips were blooming!
Oh and I had celebrated a big birthday April 3rd. Eek! How did that happen!?
We celebrated with dear friends in Sardinia to mark the milestone..

The kids and I had a great time in Berlin the first part of their Spring Break.
But I'll probably MOST enjoy sharing our adventures in Morocco.. a huge bucket list trip for me.. and it lived up to the hype. I'm so glad we went!
We explored the Basque country in southern France/northern Spain with new friends in May..
And traveled with some dear Houston friends around some of our favorite places..
Paris
Portofino, Italy
Rome
back in Belgium, I was able to catch the bluebells in full bloom in the Halle forest
And most recently, we enjoyed a trip to the Algarve and Lisbon, Portugal.

So check back for these and a few more adventures I've still got up my sleeve before we head back over the Atlantic in late July.

I apologize in advance for the blogging hiatus that has been and is likely to come :) But I have a feeling when I get back to the States, it will be therapeutic to share the rest of our European adventures with you.. and then, it will really be back to work for me! (unless, of course, you ALL have been inspired to travel and want to take me with you, in which case, I saw yay and hooray!)
