this is me.  and the 3 favorite people God has given me to share life with.

I started this adventure when the big boy in the green shirt was 1. now he's 10. my, how time flies. 

and here's a few things you might need (or like) to know about me and how it applies to what I do and love... 

* First and foremost, I've been married to my handsome groom for 17 years and counting, I'm the only child of a single mom that is so proud of me she could burst, and I have 2 amazingly adorably precious children all of which are most generous with their love and affection on a daily basis. So i have a little extra to give. =) 

* I used to be a 9th grade teacher. So I'm not afraid to run the show.

* I'm what you'd call "high energy". In college, I worked 30+ hours a week while taking  18+ hours in a double major and graduated in 3 years. This comes in handy when I'm shooting 3 kids under 3 OR when I've got 30 shoots to be edited, 2 class parties to organize, blog to update, laundry to fold, etc... 

* I LOVE to travel.  Not so much down I-10, but I mean across the Mississippi or better yet, the International Date line. This comes in handy for all those fabulous vacations you're going to let me photograph one of these days.  (and now that I'm in Brussels, that really can happen!!)

* If I didn't teach or take pictures, my dream job would be working with fabric. I adore yummy prints, color palletes and pulling it all together. I guess it all goes into "having an eye" for what is artistic and pleasing. I'd like to think that's a perk in my line of work. 

* My hubby and I have a deep love for music and have actually been recorded on a cd or 2 over the years. That comes in super handy when singing "wheels on the bus" or "twinkle twinkle" to a budding toddler musician. =) 

* and last of all, I have a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and I hope some of His love and light can shine thru me to you. I think that's the biggest perk of all!
